january 4th, 2011...

again with this 5:30am shift.  UGH.  between this schedule and the damn antibiotics im taking, i feel like crap.  so, typical breakfast, cuties, banana, coffee.  still delicious, healthy, and never gets old.  that and it sits well that early in the morning.

the antibiotics, are super duper nauseating, and the only thing that makes my stomach feel remotely better is yogurt.  so when i took my pills i ate a yogurt immediately after to coat my stomach.

i had awesome leftovers for lunch.  i brought the last of the quinoa,  and we had a lot of that smoked chicken thighs my dad made.  i love when he smokes chicken, i wish i would have taken a picture of the smoker for this, but its dark and i will do it next time he uses it.  its made out of 55 gallon drums, and it is hand built.  and did i mention it makes AWESOME food?!  i could eat this chicken everyday....

i got off early, and went to the gym.  its been a holiday weekend, so i took a few days off.  i am going to include the work i do at the gym, to compensate for how much it looks like i eat. at the gym (24 hour fitness on fulton and hurley) i worked out hard today:

cardio:  55 minutes on the eliptical machine

abs:   2000 crunches

(reps)
arms60  tricep
              60 back/shoulder
              60 pecs/triceps

steamroom: 10 min.
sauna:          10 min.

my after gym snack consisted of fruit and fruit juice, because honestly, it feels good in my tummy.

and for dinner i had those awesome smoked chicken thighs, for something else crunchy i included some BBQ pop chips, which are REALLY low calorie and over all good for you.

the BEST part of dinner was this amazing salad.  my mom makes the nicest salads, and the kicker is prosciutto.  that can make or break a salad =)   add on some low-fat trader joes ranch dressing and you have a masterpiece that deserves its own blog.  maybe next week.

but today it gets its own dedicated picture, because the other dinner pic just didn't do it justice.
